Pakistan approves import of cotton, sugar from India after 19 months

The announcement was made by newly appointed Pakistan finance minister Hammad Azhar on Wednesday, lifting a nearly two-year-old ban on imports from India. 

Pakistan is all set to resume bilateral trade with India after an economic committee gave the green signal on Wednesday. The nation is all set to import cotton and sugar from India from June 30, 2021.
