Oxygen shortages have left Covid patients gasping for breath in hospitals across India. On his show News Today at 9, India Today TV Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai raises the vital questions: who is responsible for this crisis? And how soon will it be resolved? Here is what the panelists had to say: Dr Mathew Varghese, Delhi's St Stephens Hospital: Our consumption has gone up substantially. But the afternoon was absolutely stressful because we had 312 patients on oxygen supply and 12 on ventilators. At 2 pm, the company told us that it can’t supply refills today because the government has sealed its plant in Faridabad. That put us in a panic situation. We only had four hours of supply left.
