
'Oxygen on Wheels': NGO to provide free oxygen to Kolkata's Covid patients

In light of Covid-19, the Kolkata-based NGO Liver Foundation has launched 'Oxygen on Wheels,' in collaboration with the West Bengal government's health department, to provide free oxygen to those in need.
With news of an oxygen crisis spreading across the country, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in Kolkata, West Bengal has launched an initiative to provide Covid positive patients with oxygen at their doors. The initiative, dubbed 'Oxygen on Wheels,' was launched by the Liver Foundation in collaboration with the health department of the West Bengal government in Kolkata, where two ambulances filled with oxygen are delivered to those in need at no cost. “Currently, we have two ambulances with oxygen which is travelling throughout the city. It is being delivered at the patient's doorstep only if a Covid positive report is being shown,” Partha Mukherjee of Liver Foundation said.More Related News
