Overall domestic vehicle sales at 4,42,013 units in May 2021: SIAM

The domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 88,045 units in May 2021.

With the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic adversely impacting overall operations in May 2021, the Indian automobile industry witnessed total domestic sales of 4,42,013 units during the month, the latest SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) report has revealed. The domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 88,045 units in May 2021, while the domestic three-wheeler sales were reported at 1,251 units. As many as 3,52,717 two-wheeler units were sold in the domestic market in May 2021. However, the domestic quadricycle sales failed to take off during the month.
