Over 1,000 students and members of youth groups from all over India thronged the ‘Selesta 2K25 - Fest of Fun’, a national-level youth festival, organised at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology Technology (SVCET) in Chittoor on Thursday. They participated in a series of cultural, academic, and interactive events.
The inaugural session in the morning commenced with a symbolic march by the students and faculty. The Kerala ‘Chenda Melam’ group, led by a batch of students from Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram turned out to be the highlight of the event. In the evening, the SVCET management distributed prizes to the winners and participants of various competitions.
Telugu film actors Bharath and Kiran Abbavaram interacted with the students during the cultural programmes, which included performances by students from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. The actors felt that the performances highlighted teamwork, creativity, and cultural expression.
SVCET principal Matam Mohan Babu thanked the guests, organising teams, faculty, volunteers, and police personnel for their support in facilitating the day’s events. The second day of the Selesta 2K25 will continue with events, focusing on youth, learning, and cultural exchange.
