Here are the nominees for the main categories for the Academy Awards, to be announced on April 25.

Hollywood’s biggest awards night, the Oscars, like so much else in 2021, has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Cinemas were shuttered for most of the past year, many films that might have been contenders were not released at all, and those that were, few may have seen in theatres. That opened the door for streaming services like Netflix and Amazon to have a strong showing in this year’s nominations. Here are the nominees for the main categories, with the award ceremony, postponed for two months because of coronavirus concerns, to be held on April 25.
