On Tuesday, when the RJD was opposing the Agnipath scheme in the Assembly, the diamond from the engagement ring of MLA Prem Shankar Prasad went missing.
Opposing the recently introduced army recruitment scheme, Agnipath, has proved to be a costly affair for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA, Prem Shankar Prasad, in Bihar.
Prasad, MLA from Baikunthpur in Gopalganj, was a part of the RJD leaders who were protesting the Agnipath policy when the monsoon session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly was underway on Tuesday.
It was during this time that the diamond from Prem Shankar’s ring went missing.
It may be mentioned that RJD legislators were clapping while opposing the scheme and while doing so the diamond in the MLA's ring fell and went missing.
The dejected RJD legislator said that it was his engagement ring and he had been wearing it since 2004. All the attempts to search for the diamond made by him and other MLAs in the House went in vain.
The RJD has been continuously opposing the Agnipath scheme during the monsoon session of the current assembly constituency. Meanwhile, the Leader of Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, has announced that the RJD will boycott the remaining 2 days of the session.
The Bihar Legislative Assembly has been witnessing stormy scenes over the scheme for the last three days.
