India Today
The Oppo A16e launch comes only a few days after other A-series phones such as A76 and A96 were launched in India. The Oppo A16e comes in three colours: Midnight Black, Blue, and White.
Oppo A16e is the brand-new phone that customers who are looking for an affordable handset should consider. The new Oppo A16e has a big display that you will like if you are into binge-watching. The phone has a big battery, as well, which will last long considering the hardware does not seem to be power-hungry. The Oppo A16e will take on the likes of the Redmi 10 in India, but the latter has slightly better specifications if you want value for your money.
The launch of the Oppo A16e comes only a few days after other A-series phones such as A76 and A96 were launched in India. But unlike the A16e, the A76 and A96 are mid-range phones that are suited for people who want to do more with their phones, such as playing games such as Call of Duty Mobile and Battlegrounds Mobile India. It is not like the Oppo A16e will not let you play games, but they will most probably lag if you dial up the graphics settings.
The Oppo A16e price in India has not been officially announced but, according to a report by MySmartPrice, there will be two storage variants of the phone. The one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage is said to cost Rs 9,990, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model will reportedly cost Rs 11,990. The Oppo A16e comes in three colours: Midnight Black, Blue, and White.
The all-new A16e is a budget phone, so do not expect it to have high-end specifications. The phone has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1600x720 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a pixel density of 269 PPI. You get Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of the display. Inside the waterdrop style notch on the display is a 5-megapixel camera for selfies. On the back of the Oppo A16e, you get a 13-megapixel primary shooter with an F2.2 aperture. There is also an LED flashlight on the back that will help you take shots in low light.
Powering the A16e is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM. You can expand the storage on the phone using a microSD card. The Oppo A16e has a 4230mAh battery, which may give you slightly less power as compared with a phone like Redmi 10, which has a 5000mAh battery. Oppo has not mentioned if the battery supports fast charging. For connectivity, the Oppo A16e has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. There is a Micro-USB port on the Oppo A16e, which may be a deal-breaker for some. But, at the same time, the 3.5mm headphone jack will appeal to people who watch a lot of movies and play games on their phones. You get an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, a magnetometer, and a proximity sensor on the Oppo A16e.
