Central probe agency NIA carried out the second round of raids against the Popular Front of India across eight states and Union Territories.
Days after the major crackdown on the top functionaries and workers of the radical Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday launched the second round of its midnight raids in eight states and Union Territories.
The NIA, along with other probe agencies, is carrying out raids on PFI members under Operation Octopus for allegedly supporting terror activities in the country. On Tuesday, raids were conducted in Delhi, Karnataka, Assam, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Telangana.

Here are the top developments related to the NIA raids
- In Delhi, raids were carried out in Shaheen Bagh, Nizamuddin, and Jamia Nagar. As many as 30 people have been detained. Along with the probe agencies, teams of Delhi Police Special Cell and local police stations were involved in the raids. Section 144 of the CrPC was imposed in Jamia Nagar till November 17 in the wake of the NIA raids.
