An online fundraiser on the platform GiveSendGo, set up to support the boy who allegedly stabbed Frisco, Texas, track star Austin Metcalf to death, is nearing $150,000.

The fund, called the Help Karmelo Official Fund, was set up to support "Karmelo and his family during this challenging and difficult time." He grew up in Rhode Island and is a graduate of Elon University.
