“What we had decided in Udaipur (one person, one post) is a commitment of Congress and I expect that commitment will be maintained (on party's presidential post),” said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
However, a day before, Congress election authority chief Madhusudan Mistry spoke about the upcoming election for the party’s presidential post and said, “In our constitution, there is nothing like one man, one post. Anyone can contest the election.”
Madhusudan Mistry’s remark came days after party MP Shashi Tharoor and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot threw their hats in the ring for the election.
