One killed, 18 injured in road accident in West Bengal’s Bankura

At least one person was killed and 18 others were injured after a car overturned in West Bengal's Bankura district in the early hours of Friday.
One person was killed while 18 others suffered injuries in a road accident in West Bengal's Bankura district in the early hours of Friday.
The accident took place at around 3 AM on Friday when the victims were returning home from a fair in Deshuria in Gangajalghati.
A total of 19 people were injured in the accident, according to local sources. It was when the car driver lost control that the car overturned near a culvert in the middle of Desuria-Kenduadihi on the Desuria-Ramharipur road, leaving 19 people injured.
Later, those injured were taken to Amarkanan Rural Hospital, where the doctors declared one person dead. According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Bishu Bauri (32) of Jambedia village.
While 18 people were taken to Bankura Sanmilani Medical College and Hospital for treatment, one of the injured has been shifted to Calcutta as his condition is stated to be critical.
