One Assam Rifles jawan was killed in action during a gunfight with suspected NSCN militants in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district along Indo-Myanmar border on Saturday. Two other jawans sustained injuries in the gunfight and were airlifted to the hospital. The encounter took place at the general area, 8-9 km from Longvi village under Nampong circle in Changlang district, 5 km from International Border post number 172. Confirming the report, Arunachal Pradesh DGP RP Upadhyaya told India Today TV that the encounter took place along the side of International Border in Changlang district.More Related News
