
On Teachers' Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurates school in Mumbai

The AM Naik school in Powai, Mumbai, was inaugurated on Teachers' Day by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as part of AM Naik's personal philanthropy.
On the occasion of Teachers' day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the AM Naik school in Pawai in Mumbai that has been set up by AM Naik, Group Chairman, Larsen & Toubro as a part of his personal philanthropy.
The Home Minister was in Mumbai for a two-day visit, where he met BJP leaders and even sought blessings of the famous Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesha idol during the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi, apart from attending the school's function.
The school that aims to instill human values and national pride, will be following a curriculum aligned to the new education policy. The inauguration took place in the presence of Lok Sabha MPs Poonam Mahajan and Manoj Kotak.
Prescribed by the Government of India, the school's curated curriculum will allow the students to engage in new experiences and different forms of learning that will also be in line with the New Education Policy 2020.
Set on the sprawling L&T campus in Powai, it is a proposed ICSE school, running classes from nursery to class eight, followed by an extension to grade 12 (ISC) in Arts, Commerce and Science streams.
The school has the best infrastructure, keeping in mind the academic needs. The technology-enabled classrooms, subjectwise laboratories, art studios, etc along with the quality of teaching imparted will really enhance the standards of this educational institute.
