On son's first birthday, Bengaluru couple learns he was 'kidnapped'

On May 29, after celebrating the first birthday of their son, the couple received police at their door and were told that the child had been kidnapped from a hospital in Bengaluru.
A couple in Bengaluru's Koppal area received the shock of their life when they were informed by the police that their son, who they thought had been born out of surrogacy, was in fact kidnapped. According to a report in The Times of India, on May 29, after celebrating the first birthday of their son, the couple received the police at their door and were told that the child had been kidnapped from a hospital in Bengaluru. The child was allegedly abducted by Dr Rashmi Shashikumar, the couple's doctor who had signed a Rs 14.5 lakh surrogacy deal with them. The doctor is now in police custody.More Related News
