Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's letter to a top UK university over the allegations of discrimination by an Indian student evoked a prompt reply.
The London School of Economics (LSE) said it is probing the charges that Karan Kataria, a postgraduate law student, was disqualified from contesting the student union elections following a smear campaign targeting his Indian and Hindu identity.
Bullying, discrimination and harassment are completely unacceptable, the LSE said in a prompt response to Mr Khattar on Wednesday. "We are aware of the reports that you raise in your letter, and we are investigating them," its letter read.
"Thank you for this intervention, @mlkhattar ji. I am a proud Bharatiya, and your support means a lot to me and my family," Mr Kataria tweeted yesterday.
