Dilip Kumar died yesterday (July 7) in Mumbai. The actor's death was mourned by his fans at his ancestral place in Peshawar, Pakistan.
Yesterday was a sad day for the Bollywood film fraternity. Indian cinema lost an irreplaceable gem, Mohammad Yusuf Khan AKA Dilip Kumar. The actor, 98, died of bilateral pleural effusion after being hospitalised twice in a month. After his death, fans and relatives in Pakistan's Peshawar offered a Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayers in absentia) to the late actor. I can never forget his generosity in giving his time to help raise funds for SKMTH when project launched. This is the most difficult time - to raise first 10% of the funds & his appearance in Pak & London helped raise huge amounts. Apart from this, for my generation Dilip Kumar was the greatest and most versatile actor.More Related News
