Omicron cases in India | No New Year celebrations allowed in enclosed or open spaces in Mumbai

In view of the spread of Omicron variant, the Mumbai civic body has ordered that no New Year parties or celebrations would be allowed either in enclosed or open spaces in the city.
In view of the spread of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has further tightened its rules and regulations for New Year’s celebrations in Mumbai.
BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal has now ordered that no New Year parties or celebrations would be allowed either in enclosed or open spaces in Mumbai. The new rule will come into force from today.
