PaoloEduardo, the saturation diver, was attacked by a swordfish and the video is quite scary to watch.
The ocean may look all pretty and blue from the sunny shore, but there are creatures hidden beneath the numerous waves that one simply can't fathom. If you are scared of deep waters, then we would advise you to proceed with caution. A video shared back in 2016 is now going viral again that shows a swordfish attacking a saturation diver.
According to reports, the diver identified as Paolo Eduardo was repairing some equipment of a diver-support vessel Wyatt Candies for an arm of the Dutch multinational Fugro. While he was 220 metres underwater, a swordfish suddenly attacked him from behind. Thankfully, Eduardo was unharmed as the swordfish accidentally jammed its beak in the diver's equipment fastened on his back.
The 1.5 metre-long fish are among the ocean’s fastest-moving fish. They use their sword-like beak to attack prey with a side-slashing movement.
"When saturation diver Paolo Eduardo undertook a minor underwater repair on the seabed deep off the coast of Brazil, what he wasn't expecting was a swordfish to come up behind him and impale itself on his bail-out rig," read the caption.
