We hear about the dangers of methane and CO2 non-stop from Democrats in Washington. But when an actual event occurs that releases tons of hazardous chemicals these same leaders shrug.
Under the best of situations, we would all be well off to be skeptical of Washington bureaucrats telling us that we need not worry about the massive burning chemical plum of toxins rising above our neighborhoods, but these are not normal times. Yet when it comes to releasing tons of actual hazardous chemicals -- vinyl chloride, ethylhexyl acrylate, and ethylene glycol, to be precise -- over entire regions under the plum of an actual mushroom cloud (by virtue of a so-called controlled release), what do our leaders have to say?
Well, basically, that there is nothing to see here. We are monitoring the situation and so far, all is good.
