Officer Body Camera Captures Deadly Shootout With New Orleans Terror Suspect

Two officers were shot in the thigh during a New Year's Day terrorist attack that left 14 dead.
The New Orleans Police Department released new body camera footage on Friday showing the moment police fatally shot a terror suspect on New Year’s Day.
Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, was killed during a shootout with police in the early hours of Jan. 1 after he drove his truck into a crowd of New Year’s Eve revelers, killing 14 people.

After the attack, Jabbar’s truck came to a stop along Bourbon Street, an area known for its lively bars and celebrations. In the newly released body camera video from officer Luis Robles, multiple officers can be seen surrounding Jabbar’s white truck with their guns drawn.
“Get your hands up,” an officer can be heard shouting at Jabbar. Seconds later, a barrage of bullets is fired. Three of the officers can be seen running from Jabbar’s truck, and two of the officers fall to the ground during the chaotic scene.
