Off-duty NYC firefighter charged with sexual abuse, assault

An off-duty New York City firefighter was arrested and charged with assaulting and sexually abusing his girlfriend, police said Saturday.

James P. Kennedy, 36, was busted Friday at a home in Bayside, Queens, police said. “She didn’t want to get intimate and he did and that’s how it started,” an NYPD spokeswoman said on Saturday.
