Odisha Police arrests impersonator posing as Union Railway Minister's PA

The accused, who identified himself as Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s PA, had allegedly pressurised the General Manager of East Coast Railway to cancel transfer of a staff.
A man was arrested by Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, on Friday for posing as Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s PA and influencing postings and transfers. Allegedly, he also threatened senior railway officials to purchase medicines from a particular firm. The accused, identified as Gopal Satapathy, was arrested in Delhi by a special team of the twin cities' police from Delhi and was brought to Odisha later. He also claimed to be a BJP member.More Related News
