Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik announces Rs 352 cr Covid package for 32 lakh MGNREGA workers

A total of 32 lakh MGNREGA workers benefited from this assistance, which was announced as part of the Odisha government's special Covid-19 package of Rs 1,690 crore for the poor.

As part of the Odisha government's special Covid-19 package of Rs 1,690 crore for the poor, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday disbursed Rs 352 crore to the workers employed under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in Odisha. As per the state government, a total of 32 lakh MGNREGA workers benefited from this package. In addition to their daily wages, the workers received extra Rs 50 for April, May and June.
