The suspect in the stabbing of two New York police officers on New Year's Eve is accused of having ties to radical Islam and penning a religious manifesto.
Police sources told The Post that Bickford traveled to New York City days before the attack and checked in at the Bowery Mission in Manhattan. He was reportedly carrying various religious materials, $200 and a handwritten note. Bradford Betz is a Fox News Digital breaking reporter covering crime, political issues, and much more.
"To my family – specifically, mother – I’m sorry for not having been a good enough son," the note says. "I fear greatly that you will not repent to Allah. And therefore I hold in my heart that a piece of you believes so that you may be taken out to the hellfire."
