NYC administered record 478K COVID-19 vaccine shots last week

New York City administered a record 478,000 COVID-19 vaccine shots last week, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Monday, calling the figure a “great number.”

“If you talk about a recovery for all of us, this is exactly what we’ve been saying we want to do to reach that half-million-a-week number,” de Blasio said during a City Hall press briefing. The mayor said the Big Apple is “on the verge” of inoculating half-a-million New Yorkers per week.
