NRI banker turns ambulance driver to help Covid patients in Telangana

Tarun Kappala, a 30-year-old NRI who recently returned from the United States, has converted his car into an ambulance equipped with oxygen to transport Covid-19 patients to hospitals for free.
A 30-year-old NRI has emerged as one of the unsung heroes of Covid-19 in Hyderabad, transporting Covid-19 patients in a makeshift ambulance for free. In the last week, he has transported 15 patients and fed more than 200 people. Tarun Kappala, a former Deloitte employee, returned from the United States to care for his ailing mother. ‘'My mother is recovering from a brain stroke, and my sister looks after her when I'm out on rides. My wife is a third-year Anesthesia PG student at Osmania Medical College," Tarun told India Today.More Related News
