Union Minister Giriraj Singh took a jibe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying that he could never become a CM material in the state and now he wants to become PM material.
Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Giriraj Singh has taken shots at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying that “he never became a CM material in the last 18 years as he never formed a government on his own, so how can he be the PM material for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections .”
"He has never formed a government in Bihar on his own. He never became CM material in the state. How can he become PM material?," Giriraj Singh said.
He further added that after Nitish dumped the BJP and formed a government with Mahagathbandhan, there was lots of talk that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would be coming to Patna to meet him and project him as a potential PM candidate, but that never happened.

"When K Chandrasekhar Rao came to Patna, he did not take Nitish Kumar's name for PM candidate and instead insulted Bihar and made him do sit-ups in his press conference. Nitish is now touring the entire nation but nobody is taking notice of him," he said.
The Union Minister also demanded that on the lines of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar government should also conduct survey of madrasas in the state.
"Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a welcoming step of conducting survey of madrasas in Uttar Pradesh and this was needed in Bihar also. Children studying in madrasas are only getting religious education and we want they should also get knowledge of science and other subjects but we know that Nitish government believes in appeasement politics and therefore will not conduct this kind of a survey," Singh said.
