Shashi Tharoor's Congress presidential poll manifesto was condemned for being incorrect as it did not show parts of India, including parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor's nomination filing for the presidential polls of the grand old party stirred controversy on Friday. His presidential manifesto was condemned for being incorrect as it did not show parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
However, the office of the MP for Thiruvananthapuram made the amendment to the manifesto after the map was heavily criticised.
Shortly after the correct map of India was tabled under his manifesto, he took to Twitter and acknowledged the mistake that stirred controversy.
He said, "Re the troll storm on a manifesto map: No one does such things on purpose. A small team of volunteers made a mistake. We rectified it immediately &I apologise unconditionally for the error."
