Northwesterly winds, dust, drop in temperatures from Saturday

Qatar is expected to be affected by Northwesterly fresh to strong wind over most areas from Saturday afternoon to Wednesday. The wind speed may range between 15-25 KT which can be gusting to 35 KT at times in some places resulting in blowing dust and low visibility below 2 KM especially in open areas.
In addition, wave height expected to range between 5-8 FT during this period exceeding 10 ft at times in some areas offshore and can reach 5 FT at some parts inshore and its expected to witness the phenomenon of high tides coincided with the strong Northwesterly wind and high sea.
Temperatures expected to decrease due to the Northwesterly wind, where the minimum temperatures expected to range between 16-22°C and maximum temperatures between 23-33°C across the country. The Meteorology Department urged all to be cautious, avoid marine activities and follow latest updates through it's official social media accounts.
