Emergency responders were called to Moose Drive in Moosonee shortly after 7 p.m. May 11 and found two people with serious injuries from multiple stab wounds, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release.
They were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Three days later, with the help of the James Bay OPP crime unit, OPP forensic identification services and OPP provincial liaison team, a 41-year-old local man was arrested.
He is charged with forcible confinement, aggravated assault (party to an offence) and failing to comply with a release order.
Police are looking for a second suspect, 22-year-old Kadeem Williams of Scarborough, and said Thursday he is believed to be in the nearby community of Moose Factory.
Williams is wanted on two counts of aggravated assault and failing to comply with a release order and is described as being six-foot tall, 225 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
