Northeast to get 100 AYUSH dispensaries, 1000 health & wellness centres: Sonowal

Union Minister of AYUSH Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday announced plans to open a hundred AYUSH dispensaries and a thousand health & wellness centres in northeastern states.

Union Minister of AYUSH Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday announced a slew of major initiatives planned to boost the traditional medicinal practices in the north-eastern states, including the opening of a hundred AYUSH dispensaries, a thousand health & wellness centres, along with an Ayurvedic College at Goalpara in Assam under National AYUSH Mission. Attending the conference of health ministers of north-eastern states at Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati, Sonowal said his ministry has given adequate emphasis to utilize the potential of the northeast in the AYUSH sector.
