But Biden administration officials announced earlier this year that North Korea had tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system twice in 2022—once on Feb. 26 and another on March 4. North Korea launched another ICBM on March 24, and in May, North Korea launched what was possibly an ICBM.
