A North Bay woman was sentenced this week in connection with the fatal stabbing of Nicholas Nicholls in 2021.
A North Bay woman who pled guilty to manslaughter was sentenced this week for the fatal stabbing of Nicholas Nicholls in 2021.
Sandra Dorothy Haggart was 34 years old when she and her accused accomplice Travis Stillaway, 26, were charged with attempted murder Dec. 5, 2021.
Officers were called to an assault downtown on Wyld Street around 10:40 a.m. the day before, North Bay police said at the time.
One man was seriously injured in the knife attack by people he knew and was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Haggart and Stillaway were arrested at different homes in the 500 block of Rose Avenue the next evening.
When Nicholls died in hospital, charges were upgraded to second-degree murder.
