Nokia X20 may use Qualcomm's most affordable 5G processor

HMD is holding an event on April 8 and the Nokia X20 is expected to make its debut there.
Nokia X20 and X10 are anticipated to be HMD Global’s next affordable 5G phones. These phones have been spotted in several places, which means HMD is looking at a global launch for these phones. But despite that, the specifications of the Nokia X20 and X10 are not available in abundance. Now, we have, at least, come to know one key detail about the Nokia X20, the pricier one in HMD’s upcoming X-series of Nokia phones. The Geekbench benchmarking platform has listed a new Nokia model that is expected to be called X20. Now, the Nokia X20 listing on the platform has two important aspects of the specifications. One is that the Nokia X20 will come with 6GB of RAM and the other one is that there will be an SM4350 processor in the phone. This codename for the processor belongs to the Snapdragon 480, which is by far the cheapest 5G mobile platform launched by Qualcomm. The Geekbench listing also shows the Nokia X20 scored 507 in single-core and 1661 in multi-core tests. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 inside the Nokia X20 does not come as a surprise though. Back when Qualcomm announced this processor, HMD Global was among the first phone companies to announce a partnership with Qualcomm for this chipset and that it will soon be available on a Nokia phone. A few days back, a Nokia Quicksilver smartphone was spotted with Android 11 and the same chipset. But the recent findings of the Nokia X20 hint that the two phones could be the same. The test scores of the two phones are also identical. The base frequency of the Nokia Quicksilver and Nokia X20 is 1.8GHz, per the Geekbench listing, so it is logical to assume the two phones are not different but the same.More Related News
