A 14-year-old girl allegedly beat her mother to death with a frying pan after she was scolded for not doing the dishes. The incident took place in Noida Sector 77 on Sunday night.
Police told NDTV that a girl allegedly killed her mother to death with a frying pan after she was scolded for not doing the dishes.
According to police, the girl initially said that she found her mother in a pool of blood when she came back home from a walk. But detailed investigation and thorough scanning of CCTV cameras at the apartment complex revealed the truth. Police did not find any outsider getting inside the flat and questioned the girl.
Upon further interrogation, the girl confessed to the crime and said that she had beaten her mother to death.
On Sunday night, the victim asked her daughter to wash the utensils and the latter refused. The mother scolded her, following which an argument broke out between the two and, in a fit of rage, the teen allegedly hit her on the head with a frying pan.
The girl called her neighbours to her 14th floor apartment saying that her mother was injured. The neighbours, who found the woman in a pool of blood with head wounds, rushed her to a hospital where she was declared dead.
Police said that the woman was around 30 years old and lived with her daughter after she had separated from her husband. She worked in the supply department of a firm in Greater Noida.
