
Noida NGO owner dupes woman in name of Remdesivir, arrested by Agra police

An NGO owner was arrested in Noida for defrauding a woman in Agra under the pretense of obtaining Remdesivir injections, considered essential for treatment of Covid-19 patients.
The Agra police have arrested an NGO owner in Noida for duping a woman in Agra under the pretense of obtaining Remdesivir injections and defrauding her of Rs 70,000. The Covid-19 anti-black marketing squad of the Agra police managed to track down the Noida woman and arrested her. Squad nodal officer and superintendent of police K Venkat Ashok told India Today TV that Kavita, a resident of Agra’s Shastripuram area, runs an NGO in Agra and had tested positive for Covid-19 last week. Several other members at the NGO had also tested positive for coronavirus. The relatives of the NGO workers requested Kavita to arrange for Remdesivir injections, considered essential in treating critically ill Covid-19 patients.More Related News
