A day after some police officials in Maharashtra were accused of the heinous offence of forcing young girls at a state-run shelter home to strip and dance, a probe panel has found there is no truth behind the charges levied by a BJP MLA. The panel report has also said that the women who made the allegations are not in a “sound state of mind”, said Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in the Lower House of Maharashtra on Thursday morning. Deshmukh had ordered an inquiry by a 6-member all-women panel to look into the allegations. The allegations had sent shockwaves in Maharashtra after BJP MLA Shweta Mahale raised the issue in Vidhan Sabha. She had alleged that a few police personnel along with some other men had forced a few girls to strip and dance at the government-run hostel in Jalgaon.More Related News
