
'No traitors in party anymore': TMC leader Firhad Hakim on Suvendu Adhikari's allegations of cross-voting

Suvendu Adhikari earlier claimed that one TMC MLA had cross-voted, while the votes of four other Trinamool legislators were rejected.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim spoke about the claims of cross-voting made by Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, saying that there are no more traitors in the party anymore.
Firhad Hakim said, “There has been no cross voting in TMC. If someone can prove it I can do anything for him. We have no traitors in the party anymore. TMC is a disciplined party. We all fight on the basis of an ideology. Mamata Banerjee has taught us that we must bear true allegiance to the party and we follow that.”
Suvendu Adhikari earlier claimed that one TMC MLA had cross-voted in the presidential election, while the votes of four other Trinamool legislators were rejected.
Suvendu tweeted, “Out of the 34 TMC MPs (Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha combined) who cast their votes at the WB Assembly, at least 4 cross voted in favour of Smt. Draupadi Murmu ji. 2 got counted in her favour & other 2 were regarded invalid. Saffron greetings to those 4 TMC MPs.”
