No relief for China’s ByteDance in tax evasion case after Indian govt freezes bank accounts

A two-judge bench of the Bombay High Court granted no relief to TikTok's parent company ByteDance in a tax evasion case that has resulted in two bank accounts of the Chinese firm being blocked.
A two-judge bench of the Bombay High Court granted no immediate relief to China’s internet technology company ByteDance in a tax evasion case on Wednesday. ByteDance is the parent company of the banned video sharing platform TikTok. Earlier this month, Indian authorities had ordered that two of the company’s bank accounts be blocked due to alleged tax evasion. ByteDance challenged the freezing of its accounts in court.More Related News
