No political gathering, rally in Karnataka till COVID-19 guidelines are in force: HC

High Court of Karnataka directed the government to execute the mandate of the guidelines issued on January 4, till they are in operation, for preventing the spread of COVID-19
The High Court of Karnataka directed the State Government to ensure that no rally, dharna, demonstration or political gathering is allowed in any district across Karnataka in view of the ban on such events imposed in the guidelines issued on January 4 due to a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases.
The court directed the government to execute the mandate of the guidelines issued on January 4, till they are in operation, for preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Under the NBS, newborns are screened for communication disorders before they are discharged from the hospital. For this, AIISH has collaborated with several hospitals to conduct screening which is performed to detect hearing impairment and other developmental disabilities that can affect speech and language development. The screening has been helping in early intervention for those identified with the disorders, as any delay in the identification poses risk and affects successful management of children with hearing loss, according to AIISH.
