No one from BJP will defect to other parties: Karnataka CM Bommai

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday ruled out the possibility of anyone from the ruling BJP in the state defecting to other parties.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai debunked the reports of discontent within the state BJP unit, saying that there was no question of anyone from the BJP defecting to other parties.
Speaking to the media, CM Bommai said, "I can tell you categorically that no one from our party will defect to other parties. As for anyone from other parties hopping into BJP, just wait and see."
CM Bommai said that the BJP State Executive meeting would be held on March 30 and 31. "The meeting will deliberate and decide on the proposed state tour of the leaders and all other issues," Bommai said.
The chief minister ruled out the possibility of an early election in Karnataka.
Replying to a question on Cabinet expansion, CM Bommai said he would visit Delhi when he gets the call from the party top brass to discuss the issue.
Speaking about Karnataka student Naveen, who was killed by Russian shelling in Ukraine, CM Bommai said the process of bringing his mortal remains would be initiated immediately on stoppage of hostilities in Ukraine.
