No need of social distancing during prayers in mosques

Doha: The Ministry of Awqaf announced the easing of Covid-19 precautionary measures in Qatar mosques, in line with country’s plan to gradually lift the restrictions and working to restore normal life, starting from Sunday, October 3, 2021. The decisions are as follows: 1) No need of social distancing during the five daily prayers and Friday prayers. 2) Maintain a distance of 1 metre during the Friday sermon. 3) Open toilets and perform ablution in non-crowded areas The Ministry called upon mosque-goers to adhere to and abide by the precautionary controls and procedures, in order to ensure the safety of worshipers and members of society, like showing Ehteraz app for entrance, bringing each person his own prayer rug, taking care to wear a mask.
