Speaking to journalists after paying tribute to the portrait of former Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president Kumari Ananthan, who passed away recently, at the house of his daughter and senior BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan, Mr. Annamalai said the party would officially brief the media about Mr. Shah’s visit on Friday.
Responding to a question on the recent Supreme Court ruling on fixing time limits for Governors to take a decision on Bills passed by the State Legislature, Mr. Annamalai said: “It is a very important judgment and everyone should respect the ruling of the Supreme Court.”
When asked about the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder S. Ramadoss declaring himself president of the party and appointing his son Anbumani Ramadoss as the party’s working president, Mr. Annamalai said the BJP Tamil Nadu won’t interfere in the internal matters of other parties.
