No grounds for BJP to stay in power: Priyanka Gandhi on Lakhimpur Kheri violence

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi has said there is no ground for the BJP government to stay in power as the situation escalated over the Lakhimpur Kheri violence.

As the row over Lakhimpur Kheri violence escalated, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said the BJP has no grounds to remain in power.

She said, "Violence is violence. I have witnessed a lot in my life. What ever happened is wrong, be it with farmers or someone else. They (farmers) were protesting peacefully and this mantri's son came and crushed them. People got angry."
