India Today
Maharashtra leaders belonging to different political parties engaged in a war of words on Saturday in light of the loudspeaker row in the state.
On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Maharashtra’s political leaders showcased their devotion to Lord Hanuman on full display on Saturday against the backdrop of loudspeaker row in the state.
The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and the Shiv Sena leaders displayed their love for the Lord like never before.
Tensions have been rife in the state after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s statement demanding the removal of loudspeakers from mosques. He had said that if a call on the issue was not taken by the state, speakers outside mosques would play Hanuman Chalisa at a higher volume.
The MNS leader, who has come under heavy criticism from the MVA government for his aggressive stance on the issue, participated in Hanuman Aarti in Pune.

The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis on the religious occasion said, “There should be no problem with Hanuman Chalisa to anyone. It’s been the guiding path for us for centuries. But those who are saying that they have problems actually have problems which are political in nature.”
Meanwhile, the MVA government said that the police have been kept on alert and would not allow anyone to disrupt peace and harmony in the name of religion.
