No Covid vaccination in Mumbai on Monday in view of Cyclone Tauktae

On account of the cyclone alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department, no Covid-19 vaccines will be administered in Mumbai on May 17.
In view of the high intensity cyclone warning issued by the Indian Meteorological Department to Maharashtra among other states, the Covid-19 vaccination drive in Mumbai stands cancelled on Monday, May 17. The vaccination drive will continue as planned between May 18 and May 20. After May 20, the Serum Institute of India has informed the chief minister that one and a half crore vaccine doses per month will be delivered to the state. Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope stated that a decision on vaccination for 18-44 years age-group will be taken after that based on the availability of vaccines. In an order on May 12, the state government had decided to divert all available vaccines for the 45 years and above age-group for the time-being on account of a shortage of vaccine doses.More Related News
