No consignment of 3,000 oxygen concentrators lying with Customs, clarifies Centre

After the Delhi HC sought details from the government on the status of 3,000 oxygen concentrators allegedly pending Customs clearance, the Ministry of Finance released a statement. The ministry said no such consignment was lying with the customs department pending clearance.
The Union Ministry of Finance has clarified that no consignment of 3,000 oxygen concentrators was pending clearance from the customs authorities. Any other pending COVID19 supplies may be brought to notice https://t.co/xv4hRne1gi Even as the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) refuted the claim that 3,000 concentrators were pending with it, the finance ministry officials said they confirmed the status after checking with its field formations and also sought information on the whereabouts of the consignment. “The matter regarding a consignment of 3,000 oxygen concentrators lying with customs authorities came up in the Hon’ble Delhi High Court and the same was clarified by the government counsel that presently no such consignment is pending with customs authorities,” the finance ministry said in a statement.More Related News
