Shiraz Usman Salema struggles with cleaning up his buffalo shed. Out of the 11 workmen he had, three have fled since the Maharashtra government announced lockdown to deal with the second wave of Covid-19. But that is the least of his problems. The biggest worry is that his 100 buffalos are being milked twice a day, while he finds customers only one time a day. Earlier this week, the Maharashtra government announced stricter measures to control the spread of infection as the state continues to register more than 60,000 fresh cases every day.
