Petrol and diesel rates across the country remained unchanged on Tuesday after surging to record levels. The prices of the two essential fuels have now been kept unchanged for 10 straight days. The move is believed to be putting immense pressure on the country’s state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs), who are holding rates despite rising international crude oil prices. The last hike came on February 27 when the petrol price in Delhi increased to an all-time high of Rs 91.17 per litre.
